A pitch deck template is the slide structure a founder or a seller fills in to explain a business in ten minutes: problem, solution, product, traction, market, business model, competition, team and the ask. This one runs full screen in the browser and is sent as one private link that reports when it was opened. ## The eleven slides - Title. Name, one line on what it is, your name. - Problem. Whose, how often, what it costs them now. - Solution. What you do about it, in one sentence, then one screen. - Product. What it looks like in use. A screenshot beats a diagram. - Traction. The two numbers that are going up, with dates. - Market. How many of the people from slide two exist and what they spend. - Business model. Who pays, how much, how often. - Competition. Who else, and the one axis on which you win. - Team. Why these people, one line each. - The ask. How much, for what, to reach which milestone. - Close. How to reach you. This is the slide that stays on screen. ## How to use it - Publish it with the button. It lands in your account as a private link, full screen, keyboard and tap navigation, a slide counter. - Fill the slides. Edit the HTML, or give the template and your notes to Claude, Claude Design or Cowork and ask for the eleven slides in this structure. Publish the result to the same link. - Mint a link per investor. Each recipient gets their own signed link with a label, so you know which one was opened and which one was forwarded. Revoke any one of them without touching the others. - Revise after the meeting. Slide six always changes. Publish the new file to the same link and every recipient sees the current deck. ## Why a link and not a PDF A PDF is a file you lose control of the moment it is sent. It is forwarded, opened at a size nobody chose, and out of date by the second meeting. A link is opened the way you built it, tells you when and by how many people, carries a passcode if the numbers on slide five warrant one, and is always the current version. Keep a PDF for the data room that requires one; send the link to the people who decide. Ten to twelve slides is conventional. This template is a web page that runs full screen in the browser, so it is sent as a link rather than a file. What slides should a pitch deck have? + Eleven, in this order: title, problem, solution, product, traction, market, business model, competition, team, the ask, and a closing slide with how to reach you. Sequoia's outline and Guy Kawasaki's ten-slide rule both land close to this; the template follows them and adds a close. How do I send a pitch deck to investors? + As one link. A PDF attachment is forwarded without you knowing and read on a phone at a size nobody chose. A link opens full screen on any device, can carry a passcode, tells you when it was opened and by how many people, and shows the current version even after you have revised slide six. Every recipient can have their own link so you know which one was forwarded. Can investors open it without an account? + Yes. The link opens in any browser with nothing to install and no account to create. A passcode, if you set one, is typed once. The deck is never listed, indexed or shared anywhere you did not send it. How do I use this template? + Press Use this template and it publishes to your account as a private link. Edit the slides in the HTML, or give the template and your notes to Claude, Claude Design or Cowork and ask it to fill the eleven slides. Publish the result to the same link.
