# Your Grok Bot made the page. Send the client their own copy.

   Grok Bot pages are good for you and your team. When one goes to a client, you want to know they read it and hear what they said. Have the bot publish a client copy to Stacktree: you hear when the client opens it, their comments come back to the bot, and the copy can carry a passcode, a company email check or an expiry. When the page changes, the bot updates the copy, and the client's link shows the latest.

     How to share a Grok Bot page with a client, in five steps:

  - Connect Stacktree once. Add our Publish work as a private link template to your Grok Bot, or ask a bot to add Stacktree as a custom MCP connector at https://api.stacktr.ee/mcp and sign in once. Every bot on your Grok account can then use it.
- Ask for a client copy. On the Grok Bot page, ask the bot to publish a client copy to Stacktree and add the link to the page as a Client copy card. You get back a private link at an address nobody can guess.
- Lock it. In the same message, ask for a passcode or an expiry date, which work on every plan, or from Solo a check on the client's company email.
- Give each reader their own link. From Solo, ask for a link for each person. Each one tells you when that person opened it.
- Send it and keep it current. Paste the link into your email. When the Grok Bot page changes, the bot updates the same Stacktree page, so the link the client already has shows the latest version.
  What to say to the bot is [below](#ask-the-bot). Grok Bot's own share choices are in the [table](#share-panel).

## How do you share a Grok Bot page with a client privately?

Have the bot publish a client copy to Stacktree and send that link. Connect Stacktree to
      your Grok Bot once, then ask it to publish a copy of the page with a passcode or a check on
      the client's company email. The client opens it in any browser with no account, you see when
      they opened it, and the bot updates the same link when the Grok Bot page changes.

## What Grok Bot pages do well

On 21 October 2026 Grok Bot started building pages of its own: reports, memos and dashboards
      you edit with the bot or have it keep up to date. We tried them on our own account the next
      day. The bot builds a page from ready-made parts, such as charts, tables and checklists, saves
      it to its Library, and gives each page its own address on pages.grok.bot.

That is a good way to keep work in front of you. A brief for yourself, a dashboard your team
      checks each morning, a page you are happy for anyone to read: the bot makes it, keeps it
      current, and you never handle a file. None of that needs Stacktree.

## What the share panel offers

We checked this in the Grok Bot app, version 0.75.0, on 22 October 2026. The personal-account
      rows are what we saw. The team rows are what the app's own text says, which we have not
      tested.

    Choice Who can open it Reader signs in Passcode, expiry, who opened it Only you (personal) You Not shared Not shared Anyone with the link (personal) Anyone who has the address, including anyone it is forwarded to No. The app says "No sign-in needed" None in the panel. Nothing in the app about who opened it. Team or chosen people (team accounts, per the app) Your team, or people you choose Not tested Not tested Public sharing (Enterprise teams, per the app) The app says "Public sharing is turned off for Enterprise teams" Not tested Not tested Stacktree client copy Anyone you send it to, and you can lock it No Passcode and expiry on every plan. Company email check, a link per person and who opened it from Solo.

## Where it stops for a client

A client link usually needs one or two things the panel does not have. On our personal
      account, after Only you and Anyone with the link, there was Copy link and Open in browser,
      and that was all:

  - No passcode or email check. Anyone who has the address can read the page, so a link forwarded around the client's office opens for everyone.
 - No expiry. The page stays open to anyone with the link until you change the setting.
 - No link per person. Everyone gets the same address, so you cannot take one person's access away without taking everyone's.
 - Nothing about who opened it. The app showed us nothing about who opened a page, which is the first thing you want to know before you follow up.

None of that matters for your own dashboard. It matters for a proposal with prices in it, a
      report with a client's numbers, or anything you would not want read by a stranger.

## Send a Stacktree copy

Connect Stacktree once. The quickest way is our Grok Bot template,
[Publish work as a private link](https://x.ai/bot/n9zq64kTeEEc5NwrkAOi8), which
      installs into your bot in a tap. Or ask any of your bots to add Stacktree as a custom MCP
      connector at `https://api.stacktr.ee/mcp`, approve the card and sign in once.
      Either way every bot on your Grok account can use it. The setup in full is on
[publishing from Grok Bot](/grok-bot).

 Then, on the page you want to send, ask the bot. For example:

```
`Publish a client copy of this page to Stacktree for Dana Lee at
Acme. Add a passcode and make it expire on 30 November. Put the
link on this page as a Client copy card, and update the same
Stacktree page whenever this page changes.`
```

The bot hands back a private link at an address nobody can guess, which appears in no
      listing and no search index. Paste it into your email with the passcode in a separate
      message, or from Solo limit it to `@acme.com` so Dana and her colleagues get in
      with a one-time email check and nobody else does. From Solo you can also ask for a link for
      each reader, and each one tells you when that person opened it.

## Keep the client's copy current

Grok Bot pages are meant to change: the bot keeps them up to date. The template tells the bot
      to update the same Stacktree page whenever the Grok Bot page changes, so the link you sent on
      Monday shows Friday's version, and you never send a second link. The Client copy card on the
      Grok Bot page keeps the client's link next to your working copy, so you can always find it.

What comes back is the other half. The client can leave comments and questions on the
      Stacktree page itself, with no account, and approve it when they are happy. Those reach you,
      and the bot can read them and make the changes they ask for. To have the bot tell you each
      morning which pages were opened and what readers said, see the
[who opened it routine](/workflows/who-opened-it).

## When the Grok Bot link is enough

Often. If you would not mind a stranger reading the page, Anyone with the link is the
      simplest way to share it, and it needs no sign-in. Keep using Grok Bot's own sharing for
      yourself and your team. Stacktree is for the copy that goes to a client: locked, with an end
      date if you want one, and with a record of who read it. It also keeps client pages from every
      agent you use in one place, not only Grok Bot. If you also build in ChatGPT, the same move is
      on [sharing a ChatGPT Site with a client](/blog/share-chatgpt-site-with-client).

FAQ

## Frequent questions

     How do I share a Grok Bot page? + Open the page's share panel. On a personal account it offers two choices, Only you or Anyone with the link, which the app labels No sign-in needed, plus Copy link and Open in browser. Choose Anyone with the link and copy the address on pages.grok.bot. That is what we saw in Grok Bot 0.75.0 on 22 October 2026. Does my client need an account to open a Grok Bot page? + Not if you share it with anyone with the link: the app says no sign-in is needed. That also means anyone the link is forwarded to can open it. A Stacktree copy opens with no account too, and can add a passcode or a company email check so a forwarded link alone opens nothing. Can I put a password on a Grok Bot page? + Not from the share panel we tested. On a personal account it offered only Only you and Anyone with the link, with no passcode, no email check, no expiry and no link per person. Ask the bot to publish a client copy to Stacktree with a passcode instead. Passcodes work on every Stacktree plan, Free included. Can I see who opened my Grok Bot page? + Not in our test: the app showed the owner nothing about who opened a page. On a Stacktree copy, from Solo, the dashboard shows when it was opened, and if you send each person their own link, which person opened it. The bot can ask Stacktree the same question and tell you in the thread. Can a Grok Bot page link expire? + The share panel we tested had no expiry date, so the page stays shared until you change the setting. On Stacktree an expiry date is one more thing to ask for when the bot publishes the client copy, and it works on every plan. What about Grok Bot team and Enterprise accounts? + We tested a personal account only. The app's own text says team accounts can share a page with the team or with people they choose, and that "Public sharing is turned off for Enterprise teams". We have not tested those choices, so check what your client would see before you send one. Will the client's copy change when the bot updates the page? + Yes, if you ask for it. Our Publish work as a private link template tells the bot to update the same Stacktree page whenever the Grok Bot page changes, so the link the client already has always shows the latest version. Nothing new to send. Do I need a Stacktree account? + Not for a first try: with no account, the bot can publish a page that lasts 24 hours. For a client copy that stays up and that the bot can keep updating, connect your account. Free gives you 3 pages, each live for 7 days; Solo, at $19 a month, keeps pages up with no expiry. Should I stop using Grok Bot pages? + No. They are good for briefs you keep for yourself, dashboards for your team and pages anyone can open. Keep the Grok Bot page as your working copy. The Stacktree copy is only for the version that goes to a client.

## Send the client a copy, not the working page.

 Your bot publishes it with a passcode, you see when they open it, and the link stays current.
