Publish the deck as a web page and send one private link. The slides render full-screen in the browser with arrow-key navigation, the URL is unguessable and never indexed, and a passcode or email gate covers sensitive material. When the deck changes before the meeting, you update the page in place and the link everyone already has shows the current version. ## What export does to a deck A deck is at its best on the machine it was built on, and it degrades from there. Exported to PowerPoint, the fonts substitute on whatever laptop opens it. Exported to PDF, every interaction flattens: the chart the analyst spent a day on becomes a screenshot of itself. Attached to an email, forty slides of imagery is a 40MB file that bounces off half the mail servers in the FTSE. And however it arrives, you learn nothing: not whether it was opened, not whether anyone got past the executive summary, not whether the one board member who matters read the recommendation. ## A deck that stays a deck Published as a page, the deck keeps everything the export throws away. Full-screen slides, advanced with the arrow keys or a click. A progress bar and slide counter. Press F and it takes the whole screen, which makes presenting in the room exactly this: open the link. The charts stay live, the type renders identically everywhere, and there is nothing to install, download, or version. The quiet unlock: agents are genuinely good at producing decks, if you stop asking for PowerPoint. Ask for a single self-contained HTML page, one section per slide, scroll-snap and keyboard navigation, and Claude or ChatGPT will produce a presentation with better typography than most template decks, working charts included. Ask your AI for the deck as one self-contained HTML file, or start from the [board-deck template](https://app.stacktr.ee/new?template=client-deliverable&from=send-deck-as-link) and make it yours. - Gate it. Passcode, email-domain restriction, or an expiry after the meeting cycle. Board material tends to want all three. - Send one link. It opens on the CFO's phone and the boardroom screen alike. Update it in place right up to the meeting; nobody re-downloads anything. ## The pre-read, finally observable The difference between a deck that was circulated and a deck that was read is the difference between a decision meeting and a first briefing. A page tells you which one you are walking into. Presenting is opening a link on the room's screen. There is no export step and nothing to install on the boardroom machine. What if someone insists on a PDF? + Print the page. The example deck ships with a print stylesheet that lays each slide on its own landscape page, so File then Print gives you the PDF version whenever a procurement process demands an attachment. You send the link; the PDF exists for the people who ask. Does the client need an account to open it? + No. The link opens in any browser on any device with no login and no account. A passcode or a work-email check is the whole ceremony, and you can set the link to expire after the meeting cycle ends.
