# The Markloop alternative for pages a client opens.

Markloop is built for the review loop. Client work needs a lock, a domain and a read receipt too. Markloop ties comments to sentences and feeds them back to your AI for the next version. Stacktree runs the same loop, and adds what a client deliverable needs: a passcode or email gate, your own domain, who read it and for how long, sign-off, and a portal per client.

## What is the best Markloop alternative?

Stacktree, when the reader is a client. Both host an AI-written page at one link and send reviewers' comments back to your AI for the next version. Stacktree adds a passcode or company-email gate with no account, your own domain, reading data per named person, sign-off, and a client space that collects every deliverable.

## What Markloop does well

Markloop’s idea is tight: your AI writes the document, people comment on exact sentences, and the
AI reads those comments (over MCP for Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and Grok, or as plain files) and
publishes the next version at the same link. Each comment is tied to the version it was made on. One
digest email per document instead of a ping per comment. Reviewers are free and unlimited, and the
app and database run in Frankfurt and London, which matters to some European clients.

## Where Stacktree differs

  - A lock the client can open. Markloop states links cannot be password-protected; verified identity means an email invite and a sign-in. Stacktree puts a passcode on any page on every plan, and from Solo an email-domain check, with no account for the reader.
- Your own domain. A page, or a whole client portal, on an address you own, from Solo. Custom domains are not documented on Markloop’s page.
- Who read it. A named link per person, with opens and reading time coming back by name: “Read by Maya Cole · 24 min over 8 visits”. Analytics are not documented on Markloop’s page.
- Sign-off. Comments say what to change; sign-off records who approved which version. Stacktree keeps both on the page.
- More than one document. Stacktree hosts multi-file pages and dashboards, and a [client space](/client-spaces) collects everything you have sent one client. Markloop is built for single documents, not sites.

## Where Markloop is the better choice

  - Sentence-level review of long documents. Comments pinned to exact sentences and versions, read back by your AI as structured files, is a finer instrument than page-level comments for a fifty-page spec.
- EU hosting by default. If your client requires data to stay in the EU, Markloop says so plainly.
- Teams of five on one plan. Team at $49 a month covers five seats. Stacktree has one login per workspace today.
